I am interested in a firewire device as well. This is vaporware just like the mackie stuff. Still--one hopes it will perform well when it comes out in 'summer'. The promo was an artist's drawing, so its not that far along.
Isn't the key to these kind of things the software drivers? That's what kills everybody--won't work with this or that motherboard and so on.
