Trying out some speakers I found at the local pawn shop:
  • Three-Way Acoustic Suspension, Magnetically Shielded Bookshelf
  • Woofer = 8 in. Hi-polymer Coated Cone, Midrange = 4 in. Cone, Tweeter = 3/4 in. Dome, Ferro-fluid cooled
  • Input Power Nominal = 70W, Music Input = 140W
  • Frequency Range 90 to 20,000 Hz +/-3 dB
  • Dimensions Width = 10-1/2 in., Height = 16-3/16 in., Depth = 12-1/2 in.
  • Weight 34 lbs.

Yeah, in another thread I was asking about monitors with a smaller footprint

These speakers are not designed to be studio monitors but they are remarkably flat and detailed, they don't color the sound, and they have nice imaging (although lacking in bass but I have a sub to make up for those). I'll post a link later to a remixed & mastered file I did with these speakers as my reference.

BTW, those silly-assed, small POSs on top of the yamahas are the Behr' MS16 I've been using . . . so shoot me! These Yamahas should do until I can get the ADAM A7's.
