I completely agree on Ethans advice and buy or make a portable setup like he's suggesting if your short on cash. I have an obsession making my own bass traps/gobo's and after making two 4' by 6' tall gobo's for guitar amps/drums and a little vocal booth, it has made a major difference it cutting out the room sound and noise.
Highly recommend getting one.
