Thanks for the tips.
Well I usually use ableton 6 in XP so moving to Vista is a first to me.
I use a M-audio firewire sound card.
I am mainly a Vst person. Usual tracks number I run is about 10 that is:
4-5 for beats
1 - bass
1-2 lead
2 - fx sounds, rythm sound etc
Also usually extra 2-3 bused fx tracks usually reverb plugins on these
I sample all my beats and sometimes use the virus for bass hence ultimatley it is sampled as well.
For mastering and fx's I mainly use waves plugins and also sonalkis and also the inbuilt fx plugins of ableton for things especially like delay and gating. I use waves reverb for reverb.
Lastly other soft synths I use are NI FM8, Atmosphere, Trilogy, Z3ta+ and V-station. However I after getting the right sound I convert these to samples as well.
I mix at 44.1Khz
So with this in mind could I at least get the beef of track out with computer I suggested earlier?
Thanks for any advice
