The M-Audio micro track is very nice for recording practicing. It enables quick playback of what you just recorded, and comes with a little mic that does the job. You can also plug in a better one if you want nice quality.
Navigating through a large number of saved files can be tricky using the minimalist button setup, but if you want to save your recordings to listen to later, the device acts as a hard drive and can be navigated via your computer.
