grace is my favorite record...EVER.

i had the pleasure of knowing jeff back when he first was touring for Grace...late 94 early 95 ?? sadly, at the time i was a 21 year old jazz snob, and just did not get into his music...he and his band, and sound guy were always really nice folks. enjoyed seeing him live, but did not get it...really only listened to a few tracks a few times...just did not get into it then.

i lost touch with him as his fame increased...when i heard he passed away...it hit me really hard....i went home...dug through all my stuff, and found the grace cd he and his band gave me years back...i put it on...and it simply floored me.

it still does....everytime.

the songs, the arrangements, the guitar playing, all the music..and that voice...wow. AW made it sound so nice...just a perfect album in my opinion.

what a shame that he is no longer with us. he was a TRUE artist...and a wonderful human being. he left us all with the amazing gift of his music.

miss ya jeff !!!
