Micing the amp in my bedroom

Hi,

Having been an onlooker for several years I finally decided to post a question which has been nagging me for a while.

I recently bought a lovely Musicman amp through which I play my Telecaster. The amp sounds great with all the right flavors of a good Tele through a good valve amp.

But here is the question! How the hell do get this sound into my recording rig! I'm currently working with Cubase 2 (all the upgrades I passed on) recording with AudioTechnica 2020 through a Mackie Onyx 1602 into a Midiman Delta 1010. For EQ and compression I use my UAD plugs (mostly 1176 and some Pultec EQ). Myu monitors are Genelec 1030s.

Currently its sounde "OK-ish" but nowhere near what I want. I'm thinking of upgrading my AD/DA to a Apogee MiniME and my mic to a something higher up the AudioTechnica scale. I mostly play rock/indie and country type stuff. Not too distorted and hardly any pedals or fancy shit.

Any ideas anyone?
