wasn't too impressed by what i first started hearing before the album came out..first listen to the album i was a bit shocked by how high the vox were in the mix..and the layering. but the worked with queens producer so go figure..i'm getting used to it with repeated listens
the new songs still sound like pumpkins..sounds like a natural evolution of what corgan has done since machina..yes i can hear Zwan and the Future Embrace in there. thats no bad in my opinion..songs are still better than 90% of whats on the radio anyway. what i think is missing is corgans "inner-demon." since machina he can't (won't) scream like he used to..no more angst
and i don't know why everyone rips on Adore and Machina. I love em both..they are not full of top hit pop songs..does that make em bad?
and Machina 2 is even better..proof that good songs are still good with shitty recordings
gish has been around for so long..its a good album..but im kinda bored with it...sounds like a young band...and who wants a band to sound the same forever anyway?
