It ended up in your "backyard", so to speak, in Costa Mesa (or was it Santa Ana..I forget!) in the spring of 1978. Maranatha Music decided to build their own studio, and I was friends with their Chief Engineer (Jonathan David Brown, who was originally from here in Okla. City).
It was a pretty tricked-out place, with a Stephens 24 track and Ampex ATR-100 for the recording machines. I had the privilege to interact with John Stephens during the installation..a very fascinating guy!
I forget who did the acoustical designs, but he was well-known Back In That Day.
