converter discussion.. quality and price

relativly easy, midpriced converterhardware:

has to be:
24 tracks at the same time with converter hardware. we are talking about MAC.

MOTU hardware: PCIe 424 + HD192 (12tracks) ==> up to 4 devices/card total: 48 tracks. price is as usual depending on the country, but lets say

MOTU-card: 400$
HD192: 2k$
24channel setup: 4.5k$

RME MADI hardware: MADI card (64 channels) + RME 8DQ (with MADI option) 4k$

RME-card: 1k$
RME 8DQ: 4k$
24channelsetup: 13k$

RME ADAT hardware: RME HDSP (32 channels) + MFII or RME ADI-8

RME-card: 600$
RME ADI-8: 2k$
24channelsetup: 6.6k$

conclusion:

MOTU 24channel setup: 4.5k$
RME MADI: 13k$
RME ADAT: 6.6$

what are your choices in the midprice range, for this sort of setup? pros and cons.

I ask, because a customer wanted to have low latency, stability, routing options (with RME totalmix for example) and 24 channels.

I am a bit stuck.

thanx a bunch
