Billy Corgan has just lost it, in my opinion. He has become so out of touch with just about everything (which is funny the way his vocals are mixed way too separately on his last couple albums,) and his songwriting has suffered. I thought Adore, Machina, and Machina II (except for some of the older stuff) were nothing compared to Gish, Siamese Dream, and Melon Collie (same with Zwan and his solo album.) And this is coming from a guy who literally owns over 40 hard-copy Pumpkins albums/singles/"official" bootlegs/etc. They used to be my favorite band. Until Adore. You can rationalize it all you want, but his songwriting and overall inspiration just went downhill, and if you don't want to admit that, that's okay, they were decent albums that had a couple decent songs, but they don't hold a candle to the older stuff and you know it. Now not even James Iha wants anything to do with him, and he was on that terrible APC album! I've warmed up to Machina a little bit recently, but that's after over half a decade of hardly anything good coming out at all, so I'm kinda grasping at straws at this point. The Pumpkins have been done for quite some time. I'll listen to the new album when it comes out, but I'm not holding my breath.

Oh, and please don't re-master Melon Collie. They need to focus on making their new crappy stuff good, not their old good stuff crappy.
