I don't know if I unsderstood well the 2 processes you asked me (my technical english is not ver good).

The process is like this:
1 - The hangers are all installed as you can see on a pic.
2 - The wood beam is cut to the length of the room.
2 - Take the exact measures of the spacing between the hangers and then mark on the beam.
3 - Make the holes to get the screws through
4 - Put the beam in place supported by the metal rails (since it is only the beam, the weight is well supported by the rails)
5 - insert the screws through the holes and screw them on the hangers..
6 - Use the screws to align the beam.
