Yes, the middle one and the 17" are not worth it according to my opinion. If you put the first one with a 7200rpm drive it's just a very great machine and if you even put 4GB RAM you have a total killer for no further needs at all!!! Really, you can do whatever you want on a machine like that. Get an extra external 7200RPM Lacie 500 GB drive and you're rolling recording as many audio as you want including plugs etc. etc.
