| Cymbals "choke" (and fake sounding drums)
Hi,
I'm currently recording some songs with my (hardcore metal) band using my computer. I've tracked the drums as MIDI and i've imported them into Cubase, and i'm using Reason in ReWire mode to get all the drum sounds. (I'm using the NNXT and not ReDrum because i like using the standard drum map)
However, the samples (especially noticible on cymbals and toms) seem to choke or end unnaturally. The only controls on the NNXT i can find to edit this is on the Amp Envolope section, and i've set Hold, Decay, Sustain and Release on full.
The work around i'm using at the moment is taking the cymbal sound in cubase and dragging it to be 2/3 bars long but that is time consuming, and means that editing the drums can get a bit confusing.
So is there either a midi function in cubase to make all the notes a specific length (so i can go back to the drum map view in cubase) or a parameter in reason to change to just trigger the sound, rather then starting and stopping?
Or do i have to drag every note to length
