You can also connect the HEDD digitally using S/PDIF. I run my HEDD with a Pro Tools HD system & I connect it to the AES-EBU connector on my Digital 192 I/O & I also clock Pro Tools from the HEDD's wordclock output this provides the best conversion & clock for my HD rig. Having it connected digitally is the best way to go as you can also use it as a digital hardware insert if you only wanted to use the HEDD's onboard processing (valve & tape sims) on some things. I also have a Benchmark DAC-1 which I am currently using as my monitoring D/A this is also an AES-EBU connection out of the 192 interface. But the S/PDIF connection also works fine.
