I've only heard the latest Korn stuff on the radio but I think that's up there as one of the worst drum sounds I've heard, especially the snare...that really bugs the hell out of me for some reason. Then again, who knows what those drums sounded like before mics were placed on them. Maybe they were complete shit and Frank pulled a few tricks out of his ass and made them sound amazing.
Five mics on the kick eh? How much you wanna bet there's one mic that made it to the mix, maybe two and the rest is a sample?
