What am I defending? Nothing - I am stating my opinion on this matter. And in my opinion, the RIAA is absolutely clueless on both the
nature of this problem (as exhibited by the fact that they have allowed it to progress to such an out-of-control level before taking mitigating action), as well as how it might best be resolved, in a manner that will produce satisfactory long term results.
