If you by that you are asking if the Ensemble is capable of recording sound to a very high quality, the answer is most definitely yes.

I haven't used 4006's with my ensemble but I'd bet my granny that the result would be very good indeed.

I've used earthworks, schoeps, akg and sony mics and every time I find the ensemble is very capable. To my ears you get what you put in, and that is what I want.

It is quiet, has a very good dynamic range on the mic pre's and is easy to set up and use. For this reason I reckon it is perfectly suitable for acoustic recording sessions and I wouldn't think twice about using mine for such gigs.

Don't forget that there are only 4 mic pre's so you'll need extra gear if you need more than four mics.
