Got to agree with the fibreglass fans, better, safer, cheaper.

While you are at it try some C.P. Boner polycylinders or even just some angled panels. Break up the parallel walls / ceiling / floor. That will make the room sound "better". Dead is not better, it's just dead. It makes the room go away which is not always the best thing.
