The next day, I drop about 5k on a decked-out Studio Vision Pro setup, commission goes to Bob's associate, not to Bob. Sorry Bob, thanks for the great advice.
A couple weeks ago I'm in a local GC and who do I bump into but good 'ol Bob. We start chatting about old times, Bob has a family now, been working at GC for 8 years 'cuz the music biz is a bitch and it's impossible to make a regular paycheck unless yer in sales. I figure what the hell, it was a long time ago...I'll let Bob have this sale for his kids. So I tell him I'm looking to replace my Genelec 1031's since they're not translating very well in my new room. He responds with a cocky grin, "Well, that's what you get for buying Rent-a-Wrecks."
I come back the next day and buy a pair of JBL 6328p's from Dan.

now thats an example of being waaaaaayyy too uptight, i was a tech in la and we always referred to tascam as trash-can.....its just an joke, and as techs and engineers,as you can read here on gs,we tend to have a very lively sense of humor, and it typically falls into the "gallows" type. If i worked at gc or for fletcher i would say that too as an endearing way to build a repoir with you....do you really think the guy was trying to insult you??? honestly???
