I don't trust any and usually drive myself bonkers by going with the manual style.
Chop by quarters, eighths or sixteenths. Unnatural, sure, but changing tempos isn't natural without replaying it either. And it doesn't get any of that strange noise degradation. Go stir crazy like acting in a Kubrick flick.
