Did you use the 610's low cut switch on the vocals?
I think it sounds great, except for a little too much low end on the vox. Could be cured with a low shelf or even just backing off the mic a bit. I also find with the 89 that you can angle it so the top is a bit more toward the source to get more highs and less lows. I think you're doing just fine with that 610.
