Get a 192i/o with extra AD card and a 96i/o(16in).
Normal all your synths to the 96i/o and some to 192i/o on the patchbay, run them into PT as auxes, so you can manipulate efx levels and start automation processes...then when you are ready to print, just repatch on the patchbay to insert a anything you may want or to put it over to the 192i/o for better conversion on the print in...but I would definately buy the 16in2out 96i/o for monitoring, and since you don't seem to want to print all at once, then it's not a big deal...I'm sure the 96i/o sounds just great for synths.
