Thats a very good workaround. My problem with that is introducing another wall wart into the equation, which I shouldnt have to deal with.
Im using the blue MPatch right now, and its nice to have a mute button and a knob to work with, but I would rather not have the extra interconnect cable just for volume separation.
I am a hardcore signal chain minimalist, can you tell?!?!
