| Yea, go with one speaker instead of SM57 on all four. While you may initially think then, "Well why not just use a 1x12 instead?" it sounds really different and reacts differently with the amp with a smaller speaker (albiet not always in a bad way).
You could go with center, but i'd try something about 1/3 of the way on the radius of the speaker. Just move it around until it sounds good really. Every cab will be a little different, and of course it's whatever sound you are looking for. |
