I still regret the fact that i haven't dont much electrotechnique and DIY when i was younger. Hopefully i still can learn it....... my hands are quite shaky....

If I get a Chance to record something with it I will post it but I don"t think I will be able to do it much Justice because all of my Mics are really Crappy.....

The sound reminds me of a DMP-3 or maybe a Rane preamp...Very clean and detailed but without any Coloration...... It probably sounds like these Mic preamps because it uses a Simular IC as these Preamps....

It uses a Burr Brown INA217 with a NE5532 on the output as a Unity Gain Ballanceing stage, each Channel also uses Half of a TL072 for the DC Offset controll loop, It has a Regulated +/-15v supply with +48v for the Phantom power (the same PSU that is used in the Green Pre)....

The Chassis and Power transformer was from a old Yahama Compressor, The Face Plate of the Chassis had about 12 Holes in it so I covered them with some Bondo and Spray paint and Cut my own new holes for the XLR Inputs/Outputs.....

I have only been doing DIY for a Year now and I don"t do Kits, I only either design my own curcuits and PCB"s or build curcuits that I find on the Net or in datasheets So i don"t see why you couldn"t do the same no matter how old you are as I am not a spring chicken anymore either , But I"m also not an Old Giezer either.....

This curcuit is actually quite easy, I can post it if you want to try it..You could also probably breadboard it in an afternoon if you wanted it is that easy.....

Cheers
