I've used the Lovetone Wobulator (generally on the Tremulant setting) on snare a few times to get a wibbly wobbly thing happening on the tail.

Other strange things I've used include and MXR envelope Filter, SPL Charisma, reamping thru a cassette deck condensor mic , Electrix Filter Factory and an Alesis 3630 (but that did nothing).
