i had some sort of brain aneurysm at a remote session recently and set my 2 good preamps to be kick and snare. i found myself pretty confused once the pot wore off and i realized they were both at 0db of gain with 10db a pad engaged. meanwhile my overheads were probably getting somewhere in the neighborhood of 20db...
