I like the Eventide flanging better most of the time (you can get some really good flanger sounds out of the H949)- Metaflanger has some phaser sounds that are Ok though. The modulation stuff that some of the GRM Tools plugins do is simply sick! You can also do a lot of crazy modulation fx with the other Eventide plugins like H3000 Factory, Octavox, etc. Actually I'm not a fan of the Waves modulation plugins that much any more.
For RenComp I agree about the Massey CT4, there's also TL Aggro (which Massey had a hand in) and Smack.
