| I was setting it up for it's maiden voyage, Steve. It had serious tension issues when I got it. Turns out, one of 2 tachometer pulse generators in that big silver roller to the right of the pinch roller took a dump. The microprocessor had no idea how fast and which direction the tape was traveling.
This made it do some rather dramatic things to my scrap tape with its 2 table-saw motors under the hood! But as soon as that 1978 microprocessor started to get nice square pulses, the lion became a lamb.=)
I have 16 of the 24 audio channels running well now.
Just recapping the 3rd audio supply now.
