I guess it's only a matter of money whether you have to choose between one or the other.
Steven's samples are tailor made for programs like Drumagog. So if that's the mode of work you are going to use, you'll no doubt be happy with his product.
The other virtual drum products (like BFD and DFH) work with Drumagog, but are primarily aimed at creating new drum parts with midi files and controllers.
If you are after variety, I would say look at the drum libraries which already have sample sets recorded at different studios, with different recording engineers and drummers.
