Tried to search first, but is this possible?

I'm curious if the following scenario is A: possible and B: even worth trying.

I have a Digi 002R on one computer, an Intel Pent. D @ 3.2 GHz, 2GB ram, 3 interal HD's. Built for DAW
And a M-Audio Firewire 1814, with M-powered, 2GB RAM, Intel P 4 @ 3.2 GHz.

Anyway, scenario:

Can I link the two?
I have a Digimax FS, that would have to serve as master clock.
002r would be clocked via ADAT, then BNC from the Presonus to the 1814.
I do not have a master clock, and the Digimax is new, the first gear I have that can send BNC, except the 1814.
So, it is it at all possible, to have a set-up where, I press play on the 002r, and it the other PC with the 1814 would be slaved to it, and playback as well?

In other words, after tracking what I need with the 002, can i use the 1814's outs to feed aux inputs on the 002r, and have them play simultaneosly?
I am about to buy the Music Productio Toolkit, so I am not looking at it as a way to articifically increase track count, per se.
My goal is to use the P4, 1814 PC as mostly a softsynth/sampler type of deal, reducing the CPU load on the Pent. D with the 002.

I'm fairly new to clocking scenarios, so forgive my ignorance.
I apologize for the loopiness of my question.
It makes a lot more sense in my head!

Edit: Now that I am thinking more of it, something send a clock signal pretty much ONLY does that, right?
It isnt capable of sending other data, am I correct?
So, I assume I would also need some sort of Midi between the two, to send/recieve Start, Stop, Continue messages?
