Where's the NEW tech? Where's the firewire equivalent of an HD Accel card?
I really don't see why they don't just build ultra stripped P4/Athlon comps into a firewire box, taking advantage of a system like VST-link. That's basically all the UAD-1 is I guess (a single really fast processor...like a spare computer for DSP). Still, with all the new processor tech out, I'm waiting for something impressive to surface on the external DSP side =\ |
