I grabbed a KRK RP10s sub from GC for 269.00 as an experiment. Played around with the thing yesterday playing favorite cd's as reference to get the sub sounding right in mix position. Just filling the bottom 2 octaves.... or that's what it felt like.....Made it a little more fun to mix on the KRK V4' and NS 10's....could hear low mids which lack on the Dyn 15a's.... did not use the sub with the dyns. ran a few mixes to the car and felt was in the same ballpark. Conclusion: The sub sounded good for me in my small screwed up trapped room but was wacky sounding to the people behind me on the couch 6 ft away. It definity excited the room more han the Dyn's...in the 60-80 hz zone. Still playing with the settings.....wondering if I was to grab an Adam's A7/sub 8 or the Genelec 8020 with sub......would they integrate easier than this KRK....
