I tend to mix in mono for live events, no matter what size it is, except for special effects. I concern myself more with impact and being able to mentally zoom in on the performance. Stereo or multi.whatever only confuses the listener and takes their mind off the performer on stage, which is the cat I'm working for. Autotune live seems like some type of ****** fantasy meant for those with strong relationships with their palms. Some might fall for it but what is it that you really want to do with your life?
I see recall and snapshots as a great thing, time and space management, but this already exists in whatever flavor you want. Tell me what you can't do with a Midas Heritage and a bank of syncronizable midi controlled processors. Q. Programmable recallable eqs and dynamics? A. Splits, mute one channel and open the other or do a manual crossfade.
It seems like no one wants to work anymore, just check the agenda and cash the check.

Anything to make it easier and cheaper to help a talented performer is welcome.
I don't like the PT mixer either, I use a lot of aux channels at first and have to do a lot of copy file as... to commence, continue and finish my projects. It's more of an administrative work than an engineer's work. I feel like I've become a sound secretary. Why don't secretaries keep secrets?
you just have to be able to touch anything you want when you want to, untill they figure this out analog rules. I had an early model one touch by Nikon which was always in auto focus from the time you opened the lens and it snapped instantly to a photo request, it got stolen in madrid with a roll full of art. I've tried some other cameras that wait to focus untill you request a photo and there's a delay from when you push the shutter button till when it decides that it's in focus. That delay ruins any photo any person would want to take and therefore renders the camera useless. this is analog to the digital console. I have friends that swear by their Spirit consoles though and surely there has to be a good reason, they couldn't do their shows without them, but they're musicians and not engineers, they have a different approach.
