How did you measure? What sort of software, and what microphone? Both speakers sounding at once in mono, or just one speaker? And so forth.

Also, you didn't mention where you placed the various panels. Did you treat the first reflection points on the side walls and ceiling? That goes a long way toward avoiding comb filtering at the mixing position which skews the response.

I'll also mention that a lot of speakers have a dip in the harshness range around 2 to 4 KHz. The manufacturers do this on purpose to make their speakers sound more "airy" and less "harsh" even though it makes them less accurate. So it may indeed be your speakers. For the record, I am very opposed to speaker makers that do this intentionally.
