I'd really love an 8-core however, not for music (as I REALLY don't think I'm gonna use that many softsynths or reverb plugins.... as I don't really like using either if I can save it..)
I just got a new digital camera, and Aperture is KILLING my MDD 1.25 G4. Yea, i've got it full of memory (2gb), but it's not even supposed to be able to run on this machine (hexediting did the trick...). Damn 20mb RAW files...
Ok, I don't NEED the 8-core machine, but if i'm going to buy something... I want to get the most for my money.
