Although I'd like one of those "Sling-a-Line's" myself, most folks don't like toys that are likely to lead to lawsuits. For the slightly less adventurous stereo recordists, I think the Shure A27M is the best "under $100" gift available.
I still want one of them super-duper stereo arrays from Wes Dooley, but in the meantime, this little steel cylinder gets the job done on just about every one of my location gigs. I'm about to grab a second A27M so that I can fool around with 5.1 recording while I decide if its worth getting serious about surround. Maybe I should hold off until after Santa stops by........
