The problem as you drew it is there are corners behind the mix position and behind the drummer. Those focus the sound, which is not great. Ozzy's proposed layout is a good solution, though I'm not keen on the live room being so long and narrow. But it's not too bad. Also, if you do make both rooms side by side like that, be careful to plan the window placement so it doesn't end up at a first reflection point for the loudspeaker on that side.
