I don't know the conditions of your vocal booth and mic, but I have a Langevin CR 2001 which is a VERY good mic, but very sensitive. So I just lowered the gain and told the singer to keep a distance of give or take 30 cm to the pop shield. But it depends on the vocalist, the room, the mic, your settings on your daw and/or pre-amp, what mic and the conditions of the mic etc.
