The problem is that acoustics are complicated and everyone wants simple answers. Those tube traps looked really cool and useful - then I saw the price...
Still, for a large studio space with various recording projects goin on, having a couple dozen around might make a lot of sense. The right tool for the job.
As far as removeable bass trapping in stone-walled listening room - building corner traps with plywood against the walls doesn't sound like a bad idea. I'd be looking at 3 - 4 foot faces if possible.....
