| Well I know from using live PA gear you want the best speaker efficiency as possible Meyer, JBL, and EAW come to mind. Some PA speaker comanies market outrageous specs. especially in the DJ market there claims are not even from planet earth i.e. if yo buy x brand of speaker it peaks at billion watts and RMS at million, that's pure BS after reading through the speaker specs. they have a piss poor efficiency rating but most consumers don't do their home work and go by wattage thinking wow these speakers are rated a billion watts thinking that they are actually gonna get a billion watts out of them but not here in the real world called planet earth. I've seen this time and time again with PA speakers and the poor consumer goes home plugs up his new billion watt speaker and ask their self why isn't this thing louder then my boom box. So yea speakers are a live sound person bread and butter. |
