How would you compare these two pres in sound, character etc?
Looking for tubes because I need some "colour" in my very clean direct into digi 002R setup. I will be using the pres for vocals, accoustic guitars, bass D.I., overheads etc. Music style: Alternative pop, indie, soul, accoustic/folk.
I know there is alot of "magic" about the V76. But are they really much better/fatter sounding than the Tube Tech - or is it a bit of a name hype as well? I haven't got the opportunity to try the V76 myself, so if anyone in here have experiences with both pres please share your opinions with me.
